Is this thing on?

After a degree and 8 years behind the lens, I've never wanted to be just one kind of photographer — because I've never met just one kind of person.

My formal university training equipped me with the technical skills to pursue every sort of photography I was interested in.

Turns out, there was quite a few of them. I never wanted to pigeon-hole myself into a niche, so I didn’t. Good photography is just that — it doesn’t need to be confined to a single thing.

Banks, universities, wedding couples, the media, the arts — the common thread that informs my work is my genuine interest in the person in front of my camera.
Their speeches, their love, their art, even their buildings. There’s a great joy to capturing the threads of human connection.

When I step briefly into people’s lives and record them at their best I know how incredibly lucky I am to hold this profession.
